Excel Sports Boulder is offering Zipp wheels for demo. The charge is $49.95 a day for front wheels and $59.95 a day for rear wheels per day used (whether wheels are ridden or not). Most of the demos are done locally through our Boulder, Colorado showroom, but we can ship if desired. Shipping transit time is not counted toward days used. 100% of daily use fees can be put toward new wheel purchase and new wheels will ship free of any shipping charge including a label to return demo wheels. If new wheels are not purchased, paid return shipping is not provided.

Zipp has completely redesigned the rim of the venerable 303 tubular so that it is now stronger and more aerodynamic than ever. The width of the rim has been increased from 22.4 to 27.5mm and is slightly deeper at 45mm. The wider rim increases impact resistance and lateral stiffness for unprecedented strength, handling, and stability. The new, wider rim is also 12 seconds faster over a 40k course. It is now almost as aerodynamic as the 404, but the lower profile reduces buffeting in crosswinds. Additionally, the tire bed has been redesigned to make tubular mounting easier and better protect the tire.

The Zipp 303 is built with Zipp's Carbon Bridge technology that dramatically increases impact resistance with a Kevlar thread running perpendicular to the carbon laminate on the tire bed of the rim. Between layers of carbon in the rim construction lies Zipp's VCLC system, which uses a shock-absorbing material to reduce vibration by 10%. The VCLC system also helps your wheels stay glued to the pavement under all conditions. The most amazing thing about the 303's is you get all the aerodynamic benefits at a very low weight of 529 grams for the front tubular or 1182 grams per pair.
