The 586 UD retains Look's legendary ride and gets a huge upgrade for 2012 in the form of a seat tube that accepts a round 27.2mm seatpost (not included). 27.2mm is the most common size so you can choose the best seat post for your needs from super lightweight to setback or no setback.
The Look 586 UD is made with unidirectional 120 grs/m2 carbon fiber giving the UD a modern, matte carbon finish and equally striking graphics. Flat design stays work hand in hand with the carbon layup and design philosophy centered around the optimal balance of comfort and stiffness. The 586 UD retains a standard English threaded bottom bracket so any regular crankset can be used with no adapters or proprietary cranksets required.

Another nice feature of the 586 UD is the Look Head Fit 2 headset system that allows for headset and stem adjustment independent of each other. The included headset uses 1 1/8' upper and 1 1/4" lower sealed bearings for more solid and stable steering. The headset adjustment is executed via a threaded insert that is installed on the HSC 6 fork's steerer tube. This feature saves 40 grams through the elimination of the compression plug.
