The Reynolds Assault Carbon Clincher features quality workmanship and construction in a sub-1500 gram 46mm section wheel at a budget-friendly price. In fact, this wheel favorably compares to similar wheel costing over a thousand dollars more.

At the heart of the Assault is a 46mm all carbon rim. Reynolds vast experience in composites helps them make this rim that is both lightweight and very strong. Its low weigh is the main reason this wheelset tips the scales below 1500 grams. The light weight of a 100% carbon rim means this wheel will get up to speed thanks to lower inertia.

This wheelset can do it all from crits to climbs as well as time trials and triathlons. The Assault features a 46mm cross-section which many find is the ideal balance of aerodynamics and weight. The 46mm helps to reduce watts required and offer an increasing advantage as speeds increase. But the 46mm section is not adversely affected by crosswinds which can be an issue with some of the super deep rims.

Other details include Reynolds cartridge bearing hubs laced with DT spokes. The front wheel is radially laced with Revolution spokes which the rear is radially laced with Revolution spokes on the non-drive side and stiffer Competition spokes lace 2x on the drive side for the best combination of ride quality and stiffness for climbing and sprinting. The cosmetics with a black rim, spokes and hubs are not too shabby either.

Compatible for Shimano, Shimano 11-speed and SRAM. Includes skewers, rim tape, rim strips, brake pads and spacers.
