The cable routing path has changed from previous versions. This new path decreases the bulge that occurs under the hood where the cable housing exits the lever. The ratchet wheel inside the rear shifter also receives a small re-profiling to make the shifting have a lighter feel. The Vari-Cushion hoods feature different softness in different areas. They have excellent shape memory, UV stability and wide temperature stability.
