Shoes & Pedals    Mountain Shoes

The Sidi Dominator 5 Pro Mega mountain shoe is specifically made for EE wide feet. Sidi shoes have remained hugely popular for decades while other brands have come and gone. The Sidi Dominator 5 Pro Mountain shoe is extremely popular among mountain bikers, 'cross racers and commuters for many reasons. Primarily, Sidi shoes fit most foot shapes and riders very well. Quality construction allows Sidi's last ten years or more. The buckles and straps are replaceable. Cyclists know through years of experience that Sidi shoes fit well out of the box and remain comfortable during long rides.

The Dominator 5 Pro has a competition sole with optional toe spikes. The Dominator 5 Pro accepts a two-hole SPD type mountain cleat. The lugs on the sole keep the cleat recessed and provide plenty of traction when walking. The Lorica microfiber synthetic leather upper is extremely stretch resistant and durable. Venting is accomplished with mesh inserts. An Ultra SL buckle and two Velcro® provide precise closure pressure that stays consistent during rides without readjustment.

I have ridden with Sidi shoes for close to 25 years now. It was a relief to find a Mega size that accommodates my wide feet. I now have both road and mtn shoes AND comfy feet. Picked up a pair of Mega motorcycle boots too.

Pros: Sidi quality, long lasting, fit.

Cons: Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I got a pair of these last year as a gift from My inlaws, These replaced a pair of TIME mtb shoes that I loved. Well, after a year of riding these shoes, I can say that I love them. The Mega size addresses my high arch and a "false toe". these shoes are holding up well but I only ride MTB a couple of times a week, the rest of my riding is on the road. I am thinking I will change my pedals on my road bike and use these shoes on the Triple this year.
