Shimano exceeded all expectations with the introduction of their Dura-Ace Di2 7970 electronic shifting in terms of performance and reliability, and their latest 9070 Di2 includes refinements that continue to raise the bar.
The 9070 Di2 front derailleur has a new, compact cage shape designed to pair perfectly with the 9000 crankset. It can handle all large chainrings from 50 to 56 teeth and a maximum of a 16 tooth difference between the small and large rings.
This latest derailleur is ten grams lighter than its predecessor and sports a more refined, sleeker look. Precision actuators move the cage swiftly and smoothly for fast, silent, accurate front shifts every time. The front derailleur is able to automatically trim itself as you shift the rear derailleur, eliminating chain rub. A single-wire E-tube connects to the rest of the system with a cleaner rear wire entry.
