The Shimano FH-9000 rear hub features revised seals for smooth running and even greater durability plus a new black anodized finish. A titanium freehub body is 1.85mm wider so it is compatible with Shimano 11, 10, 9 and 8-speed as well as SRAM.

A well-sealed, traditional cup and cone ball bearing design means it is full serviceable. Lockrings are now tightened with 5mm hex instead of cone wrenches. Anyone who has serviced Dura-Ace hubs has likely found the grease good as new because the seals are so effective. The hub has an oversize aluminum axle for stiffness and light weight. Includes a Dura-Ace skewer.

When installing a Shimano 11-speed cassette use no spacers. For Shimano 10-speed use the include 1.85mm spacer plus the 1mm spacer include with the cassette. Just use the 1.85mm spacer with a SRAM or Shimano 9 or 8-speed cassette
