The Sidi Genius 6.6 SP Carbon shoe is Sidi's Tour de France and Giro d Italia winning road shoe made specifically to fit the 4-hole Speedplay cleat. This Speedplay specific model delivers three primary benefits for Speedplay pedal users. First, there is no need to use the three-hole adapter included with Speedplay cleats which saves 62 grams of weight. Cleat mounting is more direct with 4mm of reduced stack height for more efficient pedaling and power transfer. The sole of the Ergo 3 SP Carbon also allows 6mm of additional aft adjustment along with a simplified cleat set up.

The Sidi Genius 6.6 SP Carbon road shoes feature the same advanced SP Carbon Sole and flashy Vernice gloss finish as the top of the line Sidi Ergo 3 SP but has two high security Velcro front straps instead of the Tecno II front buckle.

The full carbon sole is made from aerospace-quality carbon. Interestingly enough, Sidi uses the same Italian carbon specialist as Ferrari and Ducati. T700 carbon is exclusively used where many of Sidi's competitors skimp with T300 carbon. It is extremely rigid for excellent power transfer but has some toe flex engineered for enhanced comfort. A non-slip toe and replaceable heel pad help provide safety when walking.

The upper is made from synthetic Vernice leather that is easy to clean with soap and water and mesh for breathability and ventilation. The new heel cup keeps the foot in position with improved materials and better fit. A redesigned Heel Cup System features an improved, adjustable heel retention device so the rider's heel is secure and prevents heel slipping especially during steep climbs or sprints.
