Excel Sports Boulder is offering a Mavic Ksyrium Elite S wheelset for demo. The charge is $40 a day for the pair (whether wheels are ridden or not). The demos are done locally through our Boulder, Colorado showroom (303-444-6737). 100% of daily use fees can be put toward a new wheel purchase.

Closer than ever to the performance level of the Ksyrium SLS, the Ksyrium Elite offers high-end technology at a price that is friendly to the wallet. The Mavic Ksyrium Elite rear wheel features a Maxtal aluminum rim with flashy interspoke milling plus new double butted steel spokes to reduce weight without affecting strength. In fact, a set of Ksyrium Elite wheels only weighs 1520 grams.

Precision braking is assured with a welded and machined seam (SUP) and a machined braking surface (UB Control). The Maxtal rim is Fore drilled meaning only the inner wall is threaded for extra strength at the spoke/rim interface. In addition to greater strength, Fore drilling means a rim strip not required. Super smooth QRM+ bearings provide virtually friction free performance.

Mavic's proven FTS-L cassette body gives lightning quick engagement for a snappier power transfer. Power transfer is also enhanced by Mavic's Isopulse lacing. The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and 2 cross on the non-drive side to maximize drive side dish. This provides a better spoke tension balance between left and right sides. Isopulse also delivers higher stiffness under heavy loads for crystal clear energy transmission and less problems with the wheel going out of true.
