This product was a huge disappointment. Average to install and setup. However, it was prone to an inordinate amount of interference anywhere near power lines or cables. Stopped at a light, it was telling me I was going 95 kph. Data from the ride was useless. I exchanged it for a wired version. I used the wired version exactly 5 times, and on 3 of 5 rides the computer randomly re-set itself for no apparent reason back to the "select language" screen, with all data lost. Beyond frustrating. I returned this one too. I ended up buying the Niterider Rebel 8.0. I don’t have enough good things to say about this computer. Zero interference. Does everything the VDO does and more, including heart rate and power output, for just a few $ more! I would definitely not recommend VDO computers.

I’ve been using this computer for 3 or 4 years now on all of my bikes and I love it. The altimeter is quite accurate. And I’ve compared my climbing data with much more expensive Garmin systems and it’s usually on the money. On known climbs the data is always very close and sometimes right on. I did have one die on me for some reason earlier this year but was replaced no charge. I do get some strange interference sometimes from what I’m not sure. It’s not that often that it’s a huge problems though. I highly recommend this computer if you want some of the bells and whistles of a Garmin without the big price tag.

This is a great cyclometer. One thing I learned while setting wheel size is to use the method of marking your front tire and the floor where they meet and moving forward through one revolution and precisely marking that spot on the floor/ground where the line on the tire hits its low point. HERE"S THE TIP: make sure you’re on the bike when you try this as that pressure will change the circumference of your tire! Also, it’s important to be on a uniformly hard surface, and make your line as straight as possible. My road bike tires are listed as 700x23C, which is 2133 cm (84"). When I measured without my weight on the bike I calculated 2118 cm (83 13/32"). With my weight on the bike, it measured 2103.4 cm (82 13/16")!

I own the MC 1.0 wired model. It works great and there is no interference from HID or LED or my GPS. I have had similar interference problems with other wireless cyclocomputers and now avoid the wireless models.

This is a good product, but it should come with a giant sticker on it saying "incompatible with HID or strobe lights." I tossed my packaging and was unable to return it (to local bike shop, not this website) after discovering that it went nuts when I turned a light on. Very frustrating.

Great computer and I don’t live in the Rockies and I still make good use of the ’altitude data’. % gradient read out is nice to keep an eye on as the road pitches upwards. Easy to use, accurate and reliable. Gets my top marks.
