The Camelbak Podium water bottle features the new Jet Valve that lets the user sip from any direction, or squirt to cool off on long rides. Eliminates the "bite open, push shut" steps. It is made of medical grade silicone that can be turned 90º at the base of the valve for a positive shut off and leak-proof transport. Eliminate the problem of finding a puddle of water due to a misplaced bottle! Made of Truetaste materials including HydroGuard so you can taste your beverage and not your water bottle. The Podium bottle is dishwasher safe and can be washed on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Love this bottle! Like the previous reviewer, I really don't want to use anything else now. The extra expense of the bottle is worth every penny. You get what you pay for here : )
Pros: Ease of use. Locks out when not in use.
Excellent. The humble water bottle done right.
Pros: They just work. No leaks, no fuss.
These bottles are great overall. Thats a big statement for a water bottle, but once you try these, you honestly will not want to go back to conventional bottles. Theyre hugely functional on the bike, eliminating the need to bite the bottle valve open and to smack the valve closed. You can also squeeze quite a bit of water through the valve here, allowing for nice big drinks. Off the bike, the ability to "lock out" the bottle is great and works perfectly, you can actually toss a full bottle in a bag with no fear of spillage. One qualm (aside from the cost, which is pretty ridiculous for an item most riders manage to score for free): the diameter of these is a smidge bigger than your average bottle. In tighter cages that wrap all the way around the bottle (e.g. Tacx Tao) this is problematic. They fit, but not all the way in, and it takes force to get the bottle in and out. If you love your Tacx cages, this is not the bottle for you. Otherwise its a winner, if you can palat
