The Ritchey Pro 4-Axis 44 stem provides many of the WCS level features at the Pro price level. The Pro 44 uses 3D net shaped and cold forged aluminum construction for maximum strength, durability and minimal weight. The 4-bolt 44mm faceplate(hence the 44 designation) is wider than a normal faceplate which has dual purpose - it provides better contact and stress distribution with the handlebar and increases stiffness and rigidity. The Pro's stem body features a square profile to increase torsional stiffness and rigidity. This additional stiffness is a particularly nice asset for the sprinter or the track bike. The steerer clamp is angled to evenly spread clamping force and is ideal for use with all carbon or alloy fork steerer tubes.

The new version of the Pro 44 has a black anodized finish with smaller, more subtle white and red Ritchey Pro graphics. This stem comes in 84(-/+6) degree.
