Identical in every way the Prologo 3 short sleeve jersey except for the obvious distinction of having long sleeves. Some riders have a hard time understanding the lightweight long sleeve jersey and where it fits into their collection of cycling apparel. On days where there is a slight chill in the air, but it doesn't warrant getting bundled or on transitional days where the day will blossom into warmer weather than when you started, these are great garments. The sleeves are lightweight, so you never feel to the need to shed any layers. The long sleeves also give you additional sun protection. Perfect garment for the spring and first weeks of summer.
The main panels of the Prologo 3 are constructed of Castelli's proprietary dual-layer Stratus fabric with the magical Prosecco treatment. The dual layers of the Straus work in tandem to keep you dry. It works like this: You sweat and perspire onto the single layer of Stratus that is next to your skin. This moisture then gets transferred to the outer layer. The layer next to your skin is now dry again and the moisture in the outer layer dries out quickly from exposure to the elements. Simple and effective. The Prosecco treatment quickens the drying process by spreading perspiration and moisture over a larger surface area within the fabric on the outer layer of Stratus.
All of the panels are anatomically correct, so the jersey fits well. A note about the fit, the Prologo 3 has a bit more relaxed cut than the Aero Race jerseys. Comfort is king with the Prologo 3, but by no means is it baggy and loose. It is still a fitted jersey. Other details include the full length YKK zipper that is easy to use and helps regulate body temperatures. 3 large pockets with one small zip pocket in the rear take care of on-bike storage.
