Fizik uses the same high level craftsmanship and quality materials in their shoes that helped make their saddle line so successful. The R3 Donna is a women's-specific shoe handmade in Northern Italy. Fizik uses their passion for fit and function to create a shoe clearly a notch or two above most others. In addition to having an excellent fit, the styling of the R3 Donna is definitely Italian - classic and modern at the same time.

The R3 is made of the same microfiber Fizik uses on their saddles for excellent durability and comfort. The R3 Donna shares the same highly engineered sole as the R1 but comes with a standard, non moldable insole and an aluminum lever on the buckle instead of the carbon fiber of the R1. This Donna version is made for women who require a shoe with a smaller volume.

The closure system uses two straps made from weather resistant, extremely strong sail cloth tipped with laser printed metal tabs and a ratcheting buckle for precise adjustment. The aluminum-levered buckle sits on a stainless steel base. The strap affixed to the ratcheting buckle is adjustable for different foot shapes so you can perfectly dial in how many notches you want left when the strap is at a secure and comfortable tension.

Stiffness and flex of the sole are specifically engineered in 3 areas - dubbed 3D Flex Outsole Technology - for the best combination of power transfer and fit. The center of the sole and cleat area are the stiffest part made from T700 high-modulus carbon for maximum force transfer to the pedals. Around the heel, there is slight amount of flex for positive heel support. Each side is made to have some flex and elasticity to comfortably fit a wide range of heel shapes and sizes.
