One of our favorite hubs is also one of the lightest we offer. Tipping the scales at a scant 215 grams, the R45 is insanely light without compromising build quality or durability to get there. This is due to Chris King's sensibility when it comes to designing a product. Weight loss is achieved through a cleverly designed hub mechanism that is primarily machined out of alloy to incredibly tight tolerances.

Beyond low weight, the hub functions flawlessly and is completely serviceable and adjustable. The low friction bearing seals allow the hub to spin without drag while the titanium 45-tooth engagement drive provides almost instant engagement. The 17mm one-piece alloy axle provides plenty of strength and stiffness. These Chris King rear R45 hubs are compatible with all Shimano and SRAM 8, 9, 10 and 11 speed drivetrains.

This Limited Edition Purple R45 hub features Chris King's 11 speed freehub body. It will fit 11 speed cassettes out of the box or 8, 9 and 10 speed cassettes with the supplied spacer.
