The DT RR1600 front wheel features quality, reliable parts and tubeless compatibility at a friendly price level. Weight on the front wheel is 730 grams and the weight for the set is a lightish 1620 grams. The tubeless rim is 20mm wide and has a 22mm profile. The front wheel is radially laced with 18 black aero spokes and black alloy splined nipples to a sealed bearing DT hub similar to their bombproof 340 model. The J-bend style spokes can be sourced and replaced at most corner bike shops and the Park SW-5 spoke wrench for under eight bucks can true the wheels if that unlikely need arises.

Ride quality of the RR1600 is very solid thanks to a beefed up nipple/rim interface that allows high spoke tension. Tubeless systems offer very good ride quality and great pinch-flat protection. When sealant is used, the possibility of most small punctures is eliminated so a tubeless system can be a great choice if you get a lot of nuisance flats due to thorns, glass or road debris. You can optionally use this wheel with a standard clincher tire and traditional inner tube. Included with the wheel is a RWS skewer and a valve stem.
