The Castelli Sottile Due Shorty is a short sleeve version of the very popular Sottile jacket. Interesting story behind the Shorty. The Sottile jacket was always a favorite with sponsored pros, but Castelli designers noticed that the jackets were having the sleeves removed with scissors to convert them into a short sleeve wind/water barrier. At that point, they decided to go into production with this new found rouge garment. We now have the Shorty! It is a brilliant piece and if you decide to purchase one, we can guarantee it will be used far more than you ever imagined.

The Sottile Shorty gives a little more protection versus a vest, but won't overheat you like a jacket. It can be combined with Castelli's water resistant Nanoflex arm warmers for more complete protection.

Sottile is made out of a unique lightweight, breathable, wind resistant and semi-transparent material that allows your jersey underneath to be seen. It is raglan cut and has a padded neck and full zip closure for easy opening. Castelli even adds zippered opening on the back for easier access to jersey pockets.
