The SRAM R2C bar end shifters feature unique internals that allow the shift lever to return to a central position after each shift. Less aerodynamic drag is created because the lever is always pointed straight ahead. SRAM claims a savings of 36 seconds over a typical Ironman leg.

The return to center technology is also more ergonomic making shifts easier. The levers are made from carbon fiber attached to an aluminum body and a composite insert mount. The hardware is titanium. These are the ultimate in aero shift levers.
