In full recognition of the priorities of modern cyclists, Pearl Izumi has delivered a glove designed for touch screen use. Wait. That isn’t all that special? Perhaps not, considering they offer this feature on many models. So why the call out for “Conductive”? It may be better to consider the first descriptor in the product name: Thermal. Yes, Pearl has built a great glove for smartphone use, but it has applicability to cyclists because it is warm, breathes well, defeats odor, and keeps your grip on the bars and controls. And, yes it is touch screen conducting. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s discuss the details
P.R.O. Thermal fabric with Minerale provides the key technologies of this excellent thermal glove. The fabric isn’t thick or bulky but delivers optimal insulation/ thermal management, excellent moisture transfer and odor resistance. The warmth for weight ratio is amazing, but you won’t overheat or find your hands awash with sweat. Though there is no active weather barrier, the material still functions as a thermal regulator when wet. On the plam, strategically placed synthetic leather protects high wear areas, and is screened with a silicone pattern that provides amazing grip in wet or dry conditions. The expected soft fleece wiping zone is on the back of the thumb, and reflective highlights ideal in low-light conditions round out the standard features. This slip-on glove is packed with technology, so it makes sense that it is also cooperative with high tech gadgets. Please swipe responsibly!
