The Northwave Tribute is designed for fast transitions and optimal power transfer. Just what is needed in a pair of tri shoes. A Velcro closure system and heel loop allow the Tribute to be put on and removed very quickly when the seconds count. A special anti slip/scuff heel pad provides protection and traction while in transition. Mesh inserts in the upper and sole give a bit of ventilation. The carbon composite sole is both thin and very stiff for excellent efficiency and power transfer. A textured cleat-contact area helps to keep the pedal cleat from slipping.

    Shoe is very well thought out and comfortable without socks. Good ventilation, light weight, and not too flashy. The extra velcro to hold the shoe open is a nice touch that you don’t see on a lot of tri specific shoes. Overall excellent shoe for the money. The size conversion is a little confusing - just like most road shoes....I am a true 9.5 in street shoes and I take a 43 (10.5) in the NW Tribute so I think these run a little small.
