Basically, it is identical to Dura-Ace 7900 bottom bracket, except the cups are not polished to a brilliant luster. The bearings are the same high-precision and also has the same low-drag sealing design to keep out the dirt and debris.

The Shimano Ultegra 6700 bottom bracket cups are a snap to install with any outboard bearing-style bottom bracket tool. The 6700 bottom bracket cups employ a wider bearing spacing for greater stiffness and stability. Compatible with all Shimano road outboard bearing cranksets.
