The Shimano Ultegra 6700 STI levers incorporate features found in Shimano's flagship Dura-Ace 7900 STI levers. First and foremost, the 6700 STI levers have hidden cables for a clean-looking cockpit. Both the brake and shift levers are carbon fiber. Shimano has improved ergonomics with a reach adjustment so the 6700 STI levers so they can fit a wide range of hand sizes. The shape of the hoods is flatter on the top for increased comfort. The brake pivot has been relocated for better braking power and modulation especially when riding on the hoods where most ride spend the majority of their riding time. The Ultegra 6700 STI shifts are now much closer to Dura-Ace in quality and performance. In fact, Ultegra 6700 has seen action in Pro Tour races.
