DeFeet has been producing one of the best base layers before riders even knew what they were. The UnD Shurt's simple and almost seamless design is comfortable, thin and offers great performance. The snug and anatomic fit maps your body and will not bunch underneath your jersey.
The UnD Shurt Tee is constructed from DeFeet's 3oz knitted mesh MicroSupreme acrylic fiber. These fibers produce a unique polarity of acrylic which quickly draws moisture away from your skin to the outer layers of the base layer and then to your jersey. Keeping you dry and cool is what the base layer is all about. This fabric offers almost unmatched comfort due to the soft and fine hand which is much akin to cashmere. All ends are double stitched and hemmed for durability when riding and washing the garment. The combination of fit, comfort and performance is the perfect trilogy in creating a fantastic base layer and the UnD Shurt excels in all three fields.
I ride in So. Calif. and have never felt the need for a base layer. I decided to try this base layer tee to see what the riding experience would be like since the colder riding season is around the corner. I wore this under a summer jersey with arm warmers for my 35 mi. weekend morning ride to the beach. Temps started out around 60 degrees and maxed at 75 degrees. The DeFeet UnD base layer tee felt incredible. It kept my body temp perfect, kept me dry and its so comfortable that I wore it almost all day after my ride. I also feel that wearing a base layer like this may even provide added protection to expensive jersey fabrics and keep them looking new. The DeFeet tee is also well made and it came out of the wash looking new.
Pros: Fabric, light weight, super comfortable
