It's apparent SRAM engineers spent some time with this hub. Careful scalloping of allot on the flanges completely black anodized with polishing detail on the very top of the flange (ala 970 XTR) and super smooth bearings are just s few of the highlights and fruits of their efforts.

The 15mm through axle is quickly becoming and industry standard for All-Mountain and even XC front ends. The design allows you to have lightweight while enjoying the advantages of the increased stiffness that through axle technology offers. With plenty for fork choices for 15mm, not only is this design relevant, but we may be seeing a new world order for mountain front hubs.
