The actual rotor on the XT RT86 is identical to an XTR RT98 rotor and as such, it recieves the 3 ply clad construction. You get two sheets of stainless steel that sandwiches a core of aluminum. This keeps the rotor far cooler during use than a standard steel rotor. Beyond the rotor, the spider varies a bit from XTR due to the 6-bolt attachment as opposed to the XTR's centerlock variety.
