Stan's lighter, more reliable and faster rolling wheelsets help changed the face of world cup racing forever. The Medalist is the 650b (aka 27.5") cousin of the Race Gold 29er or Podium MMX 26" and provides 1335 gram world cup performance at a price for the everyday racer.

Stan's rims employ bead socket technology. BST marks a huge step forward in tubeless technology, allowing for lighter rims, lower sidewall heights, improved durability, increased traction, and decreased chances of pinch flatting. BST rims allow the bead to properly lock into the rim for the best quality airtight seal. The bead/rim interaction is superior even with an inner tube. The low-profile shape of BST rims makes them lighter for less rotational mass for weight saving where it matters most. BST allows the tire to expand to full size so you can run lower pressure with less pinch flats and your tire functions more efficiently for better cornering, traction and reduced rolling resistance.

The 3.30Ti hub combines simultaneously engaging pawls with a 30-tooth ratchet ring for rapid 12-degree engagement and excellent durability. A taller hub flanges make for a stiffer, stronger all around wheel. Spokes are 1.8/1.5 black DT Revolution with red alloy nipples. Weight is 745g for the set or 590g for the front.

The rear wheel is 135mm QR but can be converted to 12mm 142 with an optional kit sold separately. Wheel comes pre-taped with yellow tape and includes a valve stem so just get a tire and sealant and it is ready to go.
