The Speedplay Zero CroMoly pedals are an excellent choice for a second bike, trainer or a cyclist on a budget! Enjoy the same features of the Zero pedal system for less money. The incredible value make them one of our best sellers.
The Speedplay Zero CroMoly pedals are high quality and contain many features favored by professional riders. The micro-adjustable float can set for fixed (no float) or increased up to 15 degrees. The float can also be fined-tuned in each direction. A low 11.5mm stack height improves power transfer and the Zeros have an unbeatable 39º cornering clearance to inspire confidence.
Speedplay's unique inverted design provides a solid connection with a large, stable platform once the cleat is engaged. Zero pedals use three precision cartridge and needle bearings. Like all Speedplay Pedal Systems, the locking edges of Zero pedals and cleats are metal-on-metal for durability and safety. A built-in grease port allow easy lubrication and maintenance.

I have been using these for nearly three years and a few thousand miles, and I have mixed feelings. Functionally, they are fabulous. Dialing in the float to your preferences is a killer feature, especially for those whose foot position isnt 100% symmetrical. Engagement is very positive, Ive never accidentally disengaged from these pedals. Theyre also rebuildable and light. There are major drawbacks, though. The cleats last a while but are ridiculously expensive. The pedals require maintenance, in the form of new grease to keep them spinning smoothly and dry lube to keep engagement smooth. In spite of regular lubrication mine spin much worse than my 8-year-old Times. The cleats are extremely slippery to walk in and clog with grime very easily. The slightest amount of debris in the cleat fouls engagement, and (terrifyingly) can also prevent disengagement. All in all, great but costly pedals that require serious prissiness. If I wasnt hooked on the adjustability I
