    Selle Italia Turbo Saddle

Reissue of the most popular saddle ever made! Unlike other saddle reissues, these Turbo saddles are almost identical to the original design with no "modern upgrades".

First introduced in 1980, the Selle Italia Turbo ruled the 80's and early 90's peloton. True, some pros opted for a Rolls, Regal or Concor, but no saddle to this day was ever as popular as the Turbo during it's reign. The saddle has slight anatomical contours and dense but somewhat generous padding. If you're not counting grams or reviving a classic, it's a great choice. It's a design that has truly stood up to the test of time and the last of the great pre-Flite era saddles. Available in black or white.

Selle Italia Turbo rap sheet: Ridden by Greg Lemond on his 1983 Worlds winning bike, Bernard Hinault in several successful TdF attempts, Lauren Fignon in his Vuelta and TdF winning rides.

Selle Italia did a super lightweight model which had alloy rails and a carbon fibre section which replaced the plastic section, the rails used to bend though, so ceased production of them in 1985

VERY COOL! They should offwer a titanium, or vanox rail option to reduce some of the weight. Now I’m waiting (probably FOREVER!!) for a Cinelli/Unica buffalo suede reissue.

Was my favorite saddle ever, and I bought several extras when they were going out of stock. The last of those is currently on my commuter. Good show!

Been waiting for the day Selle Italia would release the Turbo back on the market. I used the Turbomatic years back with some success, but then they stop making them. Tried Rolls and Regals, but nothing was quite as comfortable as the original Turbo. Great saddle if you don’t mind a little extra weight.
