This full carbon clincher has a 21mm flat face design with a very clean hub set-up. The carbon braking surface is consistent and sure when using the supplied 3T carbon brake pads (for Shimano/SRAM holders). A quick release for 130mm hubs is included as well. The hub itself carries a Shimano/SRAM 11-speed road freehub. A smart feature is the oversized valve cup that allows you to air up the wheel without a specific disc pump head adapter. Optimal aerodynamics on the 15mm wide rim will come from 19-23mm clincher tires at normal pressure, meaning this set-up will fit virtually every aero frame made over the last 15 years, no matter where the rear brake is mounted. Again, not everyone has the latest and greatest, so having a wheel that actually fits properly in your rear triangle is a not only a benefit, but necessary.
