The 4iiii Precision 3 Plus uses a three-strain-gauge system that measures forces across your entire pedal stroke rather than sampling at a single point. This approach captures the full picture of how you apply power to the crank, accounting for variations in pedal stroke mechanics that single-gauge systems miss. The measurement pod sits 5.5 millimeters off the crank arm, which keeps it clear of most frame configurations without requiring additional spacers or adjustments. Accuracy sits at plus or minus one percent, and the system performs zero-offset calibration before each ride to maintain consistency.
Battery life reaches 800 hours on a single coin cell, which translates to about a year of regular riding before you need to swap the battery. The pod carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, which means it handles submersion up to one meter for thirty minutes. You can ride through rain, cross streams, or pressure wash your bike without worrying about moisture intrusion.
