The dominant fabric is the Assos developed RX Heavy- a brushed warp-knit fabric developed to provide exceptional comfort, wick moisture, add high levels of insulation, and remain extremely flexible. The 290g/m2 protection weight is ideal for a thermal knicker with such integrated barrier properties. The use of RX Heavy eliminated some technical features the Tiburu required, simplifying and improving panel construction, stretch and comfort. Assos complements the forward facing protection with RX Light, a lightweight, asymmetrical-stretch warp-knit fabric developed to provide light insulation and boost comfort in high-flex areas. The protection and insulation carry a 205g/m2 measurement, but for the rear zones that don't have to block onrushing air and water, the lighter version delivers greater stretch and fit without sacrificing compressive support or performance. Both RX Heavy and Light feature the fiber based ECO water-repellent technology and odorControl system that allows you have a fresh feel without odor on every ride.
