With the RS Sock, the design team at Assos set out to create an ultralight sock that’s as comfortable as it is supportive. There are technical details to any sock, but the driving force is the yarn or yarns used, and here Assos taps into years of proprietary fiber and textile development.

Testing in warm-weather conditions eventually led them to Hydrogen, a buttery-soft microfiber yarn that’s blended with Lycra to deliver textile with a light compressive hold along the foot, ankle, and lower leg, all enable via the proven Assos seamless construction. The applications of the yarn were then targeted the specific requirements of the arch, wrapping it with a ribbed band of airy mesh for further support and boosted breathability. A contrasting band was used along the Achilles tendon for support and a clean finish with hold that keeps the mid-height RS Socks in place, with style.
