Description

Twelve-speed cassettes require tighter spacing between cogs than their 11-speed counterparts, which presents an engineering challenge when you're working within the same physical width. Campagnolo solved this by manufacturing thinner steel sprockets and reducing the gaps between cogs while maintaining the same overall cassette width as their 11-speed designs. That means the Chorus 12-speed cassette installs on the same Campagnolo freehub body you're already running—no wheel upgrades or compatibility headaches. The same 12-speed cassette that fits your road wheelset will also fit your frame's rear triangle clearances without modification.

The two larger groupings of three cogs are pinned together as single-block assemblies rather than individual sprockets. This construction eliminates the slight flex you get with individual cogs under load, which translates to crisper shifts when you're climbing or accelerating hard. The steel sprockets receive a nickel-chrome surface treatment that resists wear and keeps shift quality consistent over time. All spacers use the same thickness throughout the cassette, which removes guesswork during installation and prevents assembly errors. The machining on the shift ramps reduces stress on the chain as it climbs to larger cogs, and the tooth profiles are cut specifically to match the 12-speed chain's narrower width.

The 11-29 and 11-32 ratios work with the full range of Campagnolo 12-speed mechanical groupsets—Chorus, Record, and Super Record. The 11-34 ratio is Chorus-specific and requires the longer cage Chorus rear derailleur to handle the larger cog. If you're running mixed terrain or prioritize climbing gears over tight ratio steps, the 11-34 gives you a 34-tooth bailout gear while maintaining single-tooth jumps through the eighth cog. The 11-29 keeps tighter steps across the range for flat terrain or racing where cadence consistency matters more than gear range. The middle option, 11-32, splits the difference and covers most road riding scenarios without forcing you to carry multiple cassettes.... Read More
