It's an aluminum body with steel bearings, and it works with Shimano 10-speed through 12-speed cassettes using the HG-EV interface standard.

The freehub uses a three-pawl ratchet engagement system that matches the hub shell's internal mechanism. When you install the freehub, the pawls lock into the drive ring and create the clicking sound you hear when coasting. The aluminum body keeps weight down compared to steel alternatives, and the material is hard enough to resist the cassette cogs from digging into the splines under load. The steel bearings sit at the inboard end of the freehub where it interfaces with the hub shell.

This freehub fits specific Campagnolo wheelsets from 2021 forward: Shamal Carbon C21 DB, Bora Ultra WTO 33/45/60 DB, Levante, and 2023-and-later Hyperon models. The compatibility is limited to wheels with aluminum axles—if your wheelset uses a carbon or steel axle, this freehub won't fit. Installation requires removing the existing freehub body and sliding the new one onto the hub shell, then securing it with the lockring.
