The second generation, popular Arenberg Gel Glove is now available in a full finger version, which is not only ideal for rougher road cycling but also for gravel racing and riding. With Castelli's CDS (Castelli Damping System),this is a glove made for the rigors of the Forest of Arenberg; the toughest stretch of cobbles in Paris-Roubaix. The advanced padding system features generous, but strategically placed gel to protect your hands and increase control and comfort.
The palm and base finger material of the Arenberg Gel LF is super durable synthetic suede, which can not only withstand the rigors of abrasion, sweat, mud and a tumble off the bike, but provides good wet and dry grip and delivers a stout stitching platform for the CDS dense gel padding. These gel padded zones have been scaled back from the original Arenberg glove, mostly to provide a better palm-bar interaction while still providing the kind of protection that endurance or gravel riders will embrace, as will many weekend high mileage cyclists. The major nerve zones and base of the metacarpals get refined coverage and protection, with recessed areas in between to ensure comfortable hand-bar interaction and keep controls in reach.
The back of the full finger glove features a stretch Micromesh on the fingers, while the upper part of the back gets a softer stretch fabric that terminates at a short wrist with a minimal external Velcro closure. The back of the thumb features a soft microfiber wiping zone day in the saddle. Silicone print on the gel pads, index and middle fingers provide optimal grip and sensitivity for shifter controls. A pull tab allows for easy leverage when pulling on.
