With Castelli providing and refining the clothing for the Italian National Cycling Team, the company has released this Italia 20 Bib Short to complete the jersey. Essentially this is the Evolution 3 Bib Short, but with some specific Italia related graphics and new design features. This bib is only available in the Dark Infinity Blue color- a deep Navy blue if you will, and it was chose to complement the brighter blue and black versions of the Italia 2.0 Jersey.

The Endurance 3 is a multi-panel construction, anatomically cut and sewn to complement body movement and muscle function; made from Endurance Evolution fabric. This compressive, but less restrictive fabric offers a good blend of muscle compression and comfort with an evolved, smooth short section and transition to the leg gripper. It also provides excellent moisture control through push-pull perspiration wicking. The leg grippers are Castelli's proven Giro3 design and give a natural feeling extension and termination of the garment on your thighs. The Giro3 gripper manages to stay attached to your thigh without binding or applying too much pressure. The upper features an updated bib strap construction with mesh back and Y-tapered straps. Wide suspender bands do a nice job at spreading out the load and stress.

These bibs are finished off with the updated Progetto X2 Seamless insert. This elastic insert features a two-piece construction that has no seams. The first piece is the base. This is the working part of the chamois which has three air cooled padded zones that are located at your sit bones and soft tissue area and is sculpted for an anatomic fit. The second is a skin care layer that is bacteriostatic, soft and seamless to prevent chafing. When you combine these two parts into one unified chamois, you get one of the best cycling inserts ever produced. Due to the construction of the insert, you could literally pin the chamois into the bibs prior to stitching for a perfect, non-wrinkled fit.

Castelli has embossed the leg grippers with the tone-on-tone Italia block print. At the upper split of the bib-upper you'll find an Italian flag. Both outer thigh zones have the tone-on-tone Castelli wordmark logo embossed, and at the hip you'll find the Castelli scorpion image. This special version Italia 2.0 bib short comfort and performance built in, with a terrific chamois pad, so it matches the ideals of the poly/wool blend and clean, classic look of the Italia 2.0 Jersey.
