This Castelli bib tight is named after a desert that's chilled but not frozen. Exactly like the conditions the company designed this bib tight for. It developed for cool days when you're not quite sure if you'll be warm enough with shorts and leg warmers or if you'll overheat with a full thermal tight. In those conditions the Semifreddo is the tight you need. The thermal Thermoflex fabric is highly breathable, with great stretch and return, so it is used in the the thigh and hip zones to keep these large muscle areas comfortable. The result is a soft, fleecy, and especially stretchy fabric that is more comfortable than wearing bib shorts and warmers.
The lower leg use s Castelli'sthinner Nano Flex stretch woven fabric so you don't overheat. but protects you from splashes and tire spray. This water protection is limited to the lower legs, so wet roads aren't a problem, but this isn't the ideal tight when rain is threatening. Should you get caught out, you will stay warm, and if the sun comes out the Thermoflex will dry quickly, and if you are on the return home you'll be comfortable enough. The legendary Progetto X2 Air Seamless pad finishes out the comfort focus on the bottom of Castelli's best bib tight for moderate conditions. The bib upper features flat mesh straps with a control stretch and upper back Y-yolk that is attached to the rear of the lower with a mesh panel for excellent heat and moisture release.
