Description
Wax-based chain coatings work by delivering lubrication where it matters while keeping contaminants away from moving parts. CeramicSpeed's UFO Drip All Conditions applies as a liquid with a water carrier that evaporates, leaving a dry wax coating on the chain. The coating penetrates between rollers and pins during application, then hardens to create a barrier that dirt and grime can't stick to. This keeps your drivetrain cleaner than oil-based lubricants while maintaining low friction between metal surfaces.
The 100ml bottle holds enough for approximately twelve full applications. Each coating uses about eight milliliters and should last around 300 kilometers in dry and clean conditions. The formula is engineered for road, gravel, mountain, track, and cyclocross use, though you'll see shorter intervals between applications if you ride in sustained wet weather. For riders who regularly deal with rain, CeramicSpeed offers a Wet Conditions variant designed to handle moisture without breaking down as quickly. The All Conditions designation refers to the variety of terrain and disciplines it handles rather than weather conditions.
Application requires starting with a completely clean and dry chain. You'll apply the coating twice to the chain rollers over the cassette while backpedaling slowly, then twice more to the inside of the chain along the bottom span. The formula appears crisp white during application but becomes nearly invisible once cured. You should let it dry overnight for the wax to fully harden and penetrate. Continue rotating the cranks for thirty to sixty seconds after application to help the wax work between the chain components. The narrow bottle tip directs the liquid precisely onto rollers without flooding adjacent components.... Read More
