Caledonia Ultegra R8170 Di2 Bicycle
Description
The Cervelo Caledonia Ultegra Di2 Bicycle, featuring Shimano's 12-speed Ultegra Di2 R8170 groupset, offers top-tier shifting and braking performance. It combines wireless shifter levers with a wired rear system powered by a seatpost battery, simplifying wiring. Di2 ensures precise, efficient, and reliable electronic shifting, with a new rear derailleur design that integrates the charging port, D-Fly communication system, and adjustment system. The Shimano Di2 app further simplifies setup and monitoring.
Cervelo's Caledonia-series is designed for versatility, inspired by the demands of Paris-Roubaix and varied surface riding. It accommodates higher volume tires for comfort, stability, and control, offering speed and enjoyment for modern road racing. The Caledonia’s geometry balances compliance and power transfer, allowing for fast corners and descents while ensuring control on rough surfaces.
The consistent geometry across the Caledonia 5 and standard Caledonia provides fit options for most cyclists. The standard Caledonia features a round tapered steerer tube and simpler wire routing, allowing the use of any standard bar, stem, or 27.2mm seatpost. Internal routing for wires, cables, and hydraulic hoses supports both 1x and 2x drivetrains, with integrated fender mounts for a clean setup.
The Caledonia frameset includes an IS-2 headset and uses a 12/142mm thru-axle rear dropout. Its evolved geometry ensures a stable, sure-handling ride over long multi-surface routes. This design offers a modern road bike that meets the needs of serious enthusiasts and racers, providing versatility, speed, and pure enjoyment.
