The midweight cotton-polyester blend forms a French-terry material that offers soft hand, some breathability, and excellent heat retention. The fabric is pre-shrunk, allowing regular laundering without too much fear of creating a Paddington bear-sized track jacket. The rib knit cuffs, collar and waist band are broad, and are exactly what your expect, ensuring a reassuring, soft gasket-like fit and hold while keeping the cool air out. The body is sleek, with a semi-tapered, athletic fit. It is a track jacket, after all. This type of piece has traditionally been used in athletics to keep the participant warm before and after, as well as in between, events. Still, this isn't a heavyweight piece, so you won't overheat or feel like you are wearing a parka.
