Description
UCI regulations require the saddle nose to sit at least 5cm behind the bottom bracket center for sanctioned road and time trial events. On a P-Series frame with its steep geometry optimized for triathlon, the standard seatpost positions the saddle well forward of that line. The Cervelo P-Series Seatpost with Set Back adds 30mm of rearward offset through an integrated top rail, pushing the saddle back into UCI-legal territory without changing frames or running an awkward adapter setup.
The post uses the same aero profile as the standard P-Series seatpost, maintaining the aerodynamic integration with the frame's seat tube shape. The difference sits at the top where the saddle clamp mounts. Instead of centering the rails over the post, the clamp position shifts rearward, moving your entire seated position back relative to the bottom bracket. Combined with rail adjustment on the saddle itself, you can fine-tune the final position to hit the 5cm mark precisely.
Construction is one-piece UD carbon with a gloss finish. The post measures 355mm from the saddle rails to the end, with the minimum insertion line sitting 292mm from the rails. That gives you enough adjustment range to accommodate different saddle heights while maintaining safe insertion depth. If you need a shorter post, it can be cut down, but mark and measure carefully before trimming since there's no adding material back.... Read More
