The proven aerodynamics of the tube shapes and design features serve to reduce drag and improve overall efficiency. The Shielding Seatstays build off from the seattube and ease the air over the standard rear rim brake mount, essentially taking dirty air, then smoothing it over what has traditionally been a true problem area.
