Description

Dual-sensing reveals what single-leg measurement can't. Garmin's Rally RS200 measures actual power output from each leg independently rather than doubling one side. Strain gauges in both spindles capture left and right contributions separately, measuring cadence, total power, left-right balance and advanced cycling dynamics , which shows you if one leg produces more watts than the other or if your power application shifts between seated and standing positions. If you're recovering from injury, trying to correct asymmetries, or want detailed pedaling mechanics beyond total watts, the dual-sensing setup provides data that helps you train more specifically.

The system tracks cycling dynamics metrics that require independent left and right measurement. Left/right balance shows percentage split between legs throughout your ride. Power phase indicates where in each pedal stroke you're generating force, from engagement through the downstroke and into the pull-through. Platform center offset tracks where power is applied on the pedal to ensure proper cleat position , which helps verify cleat position and shows if you're pushing through your toes, heel, or center of the foot. Seated versus standing time quantifies position changes during climbs and sprints.

SPD-SL cleat compatibility means you can stick with the pedal system you're already using if you run Shimano three-bolt road cleats. The pedal body strongly resembles the popular Shimano SPD-SL pedals, making it easier for cyclists familiar with Shimano pedals to seamlessly transition to the Rally . SPD-SL cleats are sold in three float options: yellow (6°), blue (2°), and red (0° fixed), so you can dial in float to match your knee alignment. The release tension nut and indicator are located in the same spot as on standard Shimano pedals, so there's no learning curve if you're switching from a Shimano three-bolt setup.... Read More
