Building off the proven long-term success of the Belgium Plus rim design, the engineers at HED have created the Eroica wheel systems, which feature 25mm internal, 30mm external rim widths, with a new bead design that adds strength and impact protection to the wheel. Developed for gravel and adventure use, the Eroica will also work great on road disc brake bikes that can easily fit a 30mm tire. The Tubeless Ready channel is a little shallower than the Begium Plus, and the wider bead, called the Fat Lip, features a hook and is still compatible with proper fit clincher tires. The Fat Lip reconstructed rim bead offers a stronger rim for lower tire pressures than were allowed with the Belgium Plus, and creates a better fit for wider tubeless tires. The result is smoother rolling, better cornering at lower pressure, and great resistance from impact from this 24mm depth rim design.

The Eroica GP Alloy Disc Front Wheel is laced 2x/2x with 24 round steel-bend spokes, HED is using an Eroica SR disc hub with an oversized aluminum axle and sealed bearings. The disc rotor interface is the Center Lock spline design, which is now truly favored on road, cross and gravel wheels. The Eroica GP wheels we are stocking have the 12/100mm thru-axle system. For those seeking 15/100 or QR end caps, they can be purchased separately. HED is providing tubeless tape and an aluminum tubeless valve kit. The front wheel comes in at 750 grams, which can be paired with the rear model for a 1640 gram, easily serviced wheelset that handle the harshest gravel roads, XC-level trails, and toughest cyclocross courses.
