Needle inserts anchor hydraulic hose to the brake lever fitting by expanding inside the hose end and locking against the compression bushing when tightened. The Stealth Hydraulic Hose Needle Insert from Jagwire provides the correct barb geometry for SRAM StealthamaJig brake levers, which route hose internally through the handlebar and require Stealth-specific fittings at the lever connection.

Each insert features a Torx T8 drive head for installation. The Torx interface allows controlled torque application without the cam-out issues that hex fittings can have when working in tight spaces near the lever body. Proper seating matters here since the needle and compression bushing work together to create the seal that keeps brake fluid in and air out of the system.

These inserts pair with Jagwire's Stealth compression bushings (sold separately) to complete the lever-side hose connection. When shortening hose or replacing a damaged fitting, you'll need both pieces since neither is reusable once the connection has been tightened.
