The ABS designation refers to Lezyne's Air Bleed System, which vents air from the head cavity before you disconnect. That trapped air between the chuck and valve is what causes the pressure spike and hiss when you pull a standard pump head off—and on a tubeless setup, it can unseat a bead or spray sealant. The bleed valve releases that pressure in a controlled way, so you get a clean disconnect every time. The Clik Valve cores thread into your tubes or tubeless valves in place of standard Presta cores.
