Icefit fabric is a lightweight polyester weave that offers considerable stretch, and wicks moisture away quickly. Other than some back panels and the front of the underarms, Icefit is the main fabric. The back and underarm panels get some truly active ventilation from AirFit Mesh, another super light fabric that stretches uniformly with the main panels thanks to welded seam construction, but allows considerable air flow onto the skin. The materials complement the cut of the jersey. In order for it perform it's active cooling and moisture reduction, it must make contact with the skin. The active cooling comes from IceFil®, a coating that is applied the fabrics that contains xylitol. When your perspiration contacts the xylitol, a chemical reaction actually lowers the temperature of the fibers that carry the moisture, and can reduce skin temperature by as much as 5°. The moisture is released and as long as you are sweating this active process takes place. On top of that, the fabric and coating provide UPF 50 sun protection as well.

The jersey itself has all of the standard "true" cycling features you'd expect. The full length zip has a shaped pull that makes one-hand adjustment easy, and thin inner trim piece keeps the zipper from chafing your skin. The Icefit Jersey is cut long in the back, short in the front, and has a standard arm length. The rear three-pocket design has angled side pockets for easy access while riding. The top edge of the entire pocket structure is reflective. There are other reflective elements on both the front and back. Lastly, Garneau's Gladiator Grip on waist hem prevents the piece from riding up, and maintains the close fit.
