This standard cycling fit from Garneau is form fitting, but not race-level snug. Many serious cyclists will opt for a properly fitting bibtight, which hold a seat pad in place and have less waist pressure. Now, with the Solano 3, Garneau has improved the fit, hold and comfort with the new HiTop waistband, which also has a drawstring, which comes in two version, both with pad and and no pad options to give you the best option for you. These tights do have the women's Airzone 2 pad, an excellent choice for cold weather comfort. It features beveled edges and variable high-density, perforated memory foam. This technology eliminates any drastic drops of heights at the edge of the foam, resulting in a smooth transition, no pinching points and no chafing. Foam and fabric used for this chamois maximize moisture wicking and the fabric is treated with anti-bacterial solution. This ergonomic chamois with 4-way stretch is pre-molded for a superior fit with seamless construction.

As far as other key features, the designers added an easy-access pocket to the right thigh, to conveniently store nutrition or a needed essential like lip balm. The ankle cuffs are easy to pull over and have a stitched structure to prevent distortion. Finally, there are reflective accents front and rear for visibility.
