Wippermann 10 Speed ConneX Link
The Wippermann Connex link allows tool-free assembly and disassembly in seconds using only your hands. These links are very durable and re-usable for the life of the chain. This 6.1mm Connex Link works with all the latest Wippermann chains.
They are also compatible with Campagnolo Ultra Narrow 5.9mm 10-speed chains as well as all SRAM 10 speed and all non-asymetrical Shimano 10-speed chains.

Thank you whoever wrote the review on 3/20/2012 - Just got a new cassette going from a 13-29 to an 11-23 and the link started skipping on the 11 - switched it around and no skip!!!! Thanks - this link now works perfect on my campy 10-speed chain.

I used this link on my campy 10 speed record chain because I don't need a special $$$ chain tool to install, and I can remove my chain to clean it and it works great. I rode approximately 3700 miles before the chain stretched enough to replace it and the link worked great. Make sure to install it so the less beveled side contacts the cogs or it will skip on the 11 tooth cog.
Pros Perfect solution for Campy 10 speed chain
Cons If installed improperly, it will skip.

This link works just fine with Sram 10 speed chains too. Im using a Sram PC-1090 chain with the Connex link 6.1mm. I have not experienced any problems. No slipping, skipping or jumps off the chain rings or cogs. No chain jam or chain-suck. This link is better than the Sram 10 speed Powerlock which cannot be reused.

From a mechanical engineer:
The Connex link is a great product, but users should note that this link will NOT fit properly if installed on a genuine Shimano 10 speed chain. This link will not provide the necessary minimum .004 inch side clearance with the inner side plates of the chain, and could cause failure of the connex link. The better link to use with a Shimano 10 chain is the wider Campy compatible connex link.
As others have noted, this link properly fits the Shimano 10 compatible version of a Wipperman chain and will work with the new Campy UN chain, but the side clearance is larger than necessary when used on a Campy UN chain.
If in doubt, use a feeler gage to check for adequate sideplate clearance. You will find virtually no clearance when installed on a Shimano 10 chain and an an excessive .008-.009 inch when used with a Campy UN chain.

Based upon the previous reviews, I have used this link on my Record Ultra Narrow Chain for the past 2 months with no issue at all (including racing/sprinting). Sure beats special tools and pins especially for the newby home wrench like myself.

Confirmed. After playing with the special master link pin for my 2007 Campy 10-speed ultra-narrow chain, I finally gave up and checked here and found the Wipperman link. Works great. Snaps together in 10 seconds and done. Can open/close it at will. HIGHLY recommended.

I second the previous review. Ive use the Campy ultranarrow chain with this link for thousands of kilometers on multiple chains and setups, with no problems.

For the Campy Ultra Narrow chain users out there, the Shimano Wipperman link works very well on either the Chorus or Record UN chains. There is just a tiny amount of extra clearance between the inner links and the Wippermann link compared to the other links, and the outer width of the Wippermann link is 6.05 mm compared to 5.9 mm for the UN chain, but it makes no difference. This is the best of both worlds, a quiet running Campy UN chain that is removable for cleaning. I have used this combination for well over 10K km (now on my third chain/link combo) with no problems.
