These are the only master links I use primarily because they're so easy to get off the chain. I've used the Shimano, KMC and SRAM and can never get them off the chain. I use the Wipperman on my touring bike and mountain bike and have never had a problem with them. The only issue that people need to be aware of is that you need to get the link oriented correctly on the chain. If you have the curved opening oriented forward on the chain, then it causes the chain to skip on the cog. Just make sure that you have the opening window in the link facing toward the front of the bike.

    Pros Easy to get off!

Cons Must have the correct orientation on the chain.

These rock! I put them on all my bikes, have used them for years, and they don’t even seem to wear out. I have both the 9 speed and the 10 speed versions. It’s really the best way to clean your chain and the most eco.

This may be premature. I have had this on my bike for only a couple of hundred miles. I really should have cleaned my chain earlier, I ride about fifty mile a week, but I just got to it. Chain popped off easily. I soaked and reattached it. Very easy, very nice. I would suggest having an extra Connix Link w/you on the bike. If you drop your chain the Connex Link may fly off. It is not permanently attached. Good luck.
